About this role

In the exclusive First and Business Class lounges of Emirates Airlines at Frankfurt Airport, we as a catering team ensure that guests experience the beginning of a relaxing vacation. Spanning over 1,000 square meters, the lounge offers a variety of rotating culinary highlights and first-class service in a relaxed atmosphere.

As Sous Chef, you will organize the daily workflow and act as deputy to the kitchen leader in their absence. You will independently prepare all dishes in both the hot and cold kitchen, supervise the buffets, and take part in front cooking. Note: this is a non-à-la-carte operation.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a chef (Koch/Köchin) and several years of professional experience as a chef or sous chef, or equivalent gastronomy qualification
  • Highest quality and responsibility awareness
  • Independent working style
  • Passion and dedication for the profession with an eye for detail
  • High personal commitment, hands-on mentality, resilience, and flexibility (shift work)
  • German and English language skills

Responsibilities

  • Organize the daily workflow and act as deputy to the kitchen leader in their absence
  • Independently prepare all dishes in the hot and cold kitchen
  • Supervise buffets and participate in front cooking
  • Ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards according to HACCP
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development to maintain high culinary standards
