About this role
The Nothing Bundt Cakes Assistant Baker partners with the Baker to ensure cakes of the highest quality are consistently prepared for guests. Follows strict proprietary recipes, production methods, and food safety standards. Embodies core values with commitment to excellence, teamwork, and efficiency.
Assists in preparing ingredients and equipment, places cake pans into ovens, and monitors the baking process. Utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers, ovens, and other tools. Adheres to packaging, labeling, storage, and product rotation standards while maintaining logs.
Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstations to prepare for next shifts. Cross-trains in utility and dishwashing to support bakery operations. Works in a supportive, team-focused environment that embodies a joy-filled brand.
Maintains consistent weekday schedule Monday-Thursday starting at 8:30 AM, with occasional Friday shifts. Offers part-time role up to 6 hours per shift during production needs. Provides opportunity for growth as the bakery expands.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working morning shifts and maintaining a consistent schedule
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong attendance
- Previous baking, food service, or kitchen experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures precisely
Responsibilities
- Follow NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieve productivity goals
- Utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes
- Assist the Baker in preparing ingredients and equipment, placing cake pans into ovens, and monitoring the baking process
- Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, including product rotation standards, and maintain baking and refrigeration logs
- Clean, sanitize, and restock workstation and assist the Baker to ensure baking supplies are prepared for the next shift
- Cross-train in utility/dishwashing responsibilities and support additional bakery operations
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies, including dress code and personal hygiene
- Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
