About this role

At Zetland Court within Caterplus, we create warm, welcoming spaces where the over-55 community can connect over delicious meals made with fresh ingredients and a big helping of heart. As a Chef de Partie, you will support, organise, mentor and train members of the kitchen team in line with company procedures.

Your day-to-day involves ensuring food preparation and control meets requirements for COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety regulations. You will support the manager in maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within budget while maintaining a high standard of food preparation and presentation.

You will work 5 days out of 7 for 37.5 hours per week, focusing on the front line with a genuine interest in customer service excellence. The team environment is people-first, with over 10,000 colleagues across the UK serving everything from stadiums to hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Support, organise, mentor and train members of the kitchen team in line with company procedures
  • Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations
  • Support the manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget
  • Maintain up to date product and menu knowledge
  • Maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness of all areas in the kitchen and of equipment
