Industry Beans Fitzroy has a position available for an innovative Chef De Partie to work within a positive and progressive environment. Reporting to the Head Chef, the Chef de Partie is central to the day to day running of the kitchen.

The Chef de Partie works in service and completes prep duties while expected to deliver and maintain a high standard and consistent quality across an exciting menu. This role focuses on an interesting and innovative menu to take responsibility for. Daytime hours only support work-life balance in this fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery and minimum 2 years in similar role
  • Sound understanding of all kitchen operations
  • Passion for innovative cooking techniques
  • Modern approach to kitchen and food management
  • Creativity in food plating
  • Understanding of food costings and business management
  • Positive and professional demeanour
  • Proven experience in fast-paced kitchen with high-end breakfast and lunch menus

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Head Chef in day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Work in service and complete prep duties
  • Deliver and maintain high standard and consistent quality across exciting menu
  • Manage kitchen preparation and plating
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Handle high-end breakfast and lunch menus in fast-paced kitchen
