About this role

Snowbird Resort, located in the Wasatch Mountain Range, is seeking a Senior Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations across the property. This year-round, full-time role works under the Senior Director of Food & Beverage and collaborates closely with the F&B leadership team.

Day-to-day, you will oversee up to 20 outlets during peak season, including à la carte restaurants, on-mountain scramble-style venues, banquet operations, and quick-service locations. You will lead menu development for seasonal offerings, special events like Oktoberfest, and signature dining experiences such as the Full Moon dinner series.

You will cultivate a culinary culture rooted in open communication, teamwork, trust, and positivity, empowering team members at every level. The role involves mentoring culinary leadership, onboarding seasonal staff, and ensuring consistent food quality and sanitation standards across all venues.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in high-volume, multi-outlet culinary operations
  • Expertise in menu development and culinary innovation for diverse dining concepts and large-scale events
  • Strong knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and local health department regulations
  • Ability to manage financial performance metrics, including sales, payroll, and inventory
  • Experience leading and mentoring culinary teams in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with Food & Beverage leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires

Responsibilities

  • Oversee culinary leadership across 5 à la carte restaurants, 4 on-mountain scramble-style restaurants, banquet operations, full-service bars, and multiple quick-service locations
  • Develop and maintain resort-wide culinary standards, policies, and procedures to ensure operational consistency and excellence
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, sanitation, and guest experience across all culinary outlets
  • Lead menu development and culinary innovation, including seasonal offerings, special events, resort festivals, and signature dining experiences
  • Cultivate a positive and supportive culinary culture by modeling respectful communication, encouraging collaboration, and recognizing team contributions
  • Lead culinary operations through seasonal business fluctuations, including onboarding and training seasonal culinary staff
  • Oversee and support culinary teams across multiple venues to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Develop and implement efficient systems for ordering, inventory management, staffing, and food production across the property
