See Ya Later Ranch is located in Okanagan Falls “The Heart of Wine Country”. One of the oldest and largest estate wineries in the Okanagan, it features premium, award-winning VQA wines. As Line Cook/Kitchen Porter for the patio restaurant and events, you create memorable dining experiences pairing exceptional food with our wines.

You work as part of a team to prepare and execute daily lunch service and private events. Prepare, portion, and stock food stations while ensuring preparation, production, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality. A prepared team and clean restaurant are essential for positive guest experiences.

Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area includes pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and equipment. Handle unloading and putting away deliveries, emptying bins, sweeping, and mopping floors. Maintain readiness of kitchenware and kitchen laundry, plus daily opening, closing, and cleaning duties as requested by Winery Chef or Sous Chef.

Requirements

  • Courteous, friendly, professional attitude with demonstrated Emotional Intelligence
  • Minimum one year experience working in a kitchen with desire to become more proficient
  • Food Safe and WHMIS are assets, training can be provided
  • Able to lift 40lbs, work in hot summer temperatures, and stand for long periods
  • Able to work weekends throughout the season and evenings for weddings and other events

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to prepare and execute daily lunch service and private events
  • Prepare, portion, and stock food stations as required
  • Ensure preparation, production, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen area, including pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and equipment
  • Unload and put away deliveries and stock
  • Empty bins, sweep, and mop floors
  • Maintain readiness of kitchenware and kitchen laundry
  • Perform daily opening, closing, and cleaning duties as requested by Winery Chef or Sous Chef
