About this role

The Pot Washer - Stewards maintains cleanliness and sanitation for all pots, pans, china, glassware, silverware, and equipment. Responsibilities include mopping, sweeping floors, and keeping work areas organized. This role supports kitchen operations at a high-volume Las Vegas property.

Daily tasks involve washing floormats, speed racks, queenmarys, kettles, roasting pans, and dollies. Restock buffet lines with ice, china, flatware, and glassware as needed. Polish silver equipment, empty trash cans, and clean the loading dock.

Ensure overall cleanliness of floors, walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins, and back hallways as directed by supervisor. Follow all health department, sanitation, and safety regulations. Assist in banquet dish ups and help other stewarding employees with kitchen maintenance.

Work in a fast-paced, stressful kitchen environment requiring neat grooming and proper uniform. Notify management of repairs and complete power washing of equipment and docks. Adhere to county health standards for food service supplies and areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Neat and clean appearance
Previous experience as hotel/restaurant dishwasher or in janitorial/cleaning position
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and timely
Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
Ability to work well in stressful and high pressure situations
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50lbs repetitively
Ability to stand/walk continuously and tolerate physical demands throughout shift

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize all pots and pans
Wash china, glassware, silverware, floormats, speed racks, kettles, roasting pans, and dollies
Mop and sweep kitchen floors and keep work area clean and organized
Restock buffet lines with ice, china, flatware, and glassware
Polish all silver equipment as needed or directed
Empty trash cans and keep loading dock clean
Maintain cleanliness of walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins, and back hallways
Assist in banquet dish ups and help other stewarding employees as directed
