About this role

Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services, providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, and more. We are searching for Event Chefs to assist the culinary department for game day prep and execution.

This position aids the culinary execution of game day catering for football, basketball, on-site catering events, and more. Event Chefs report to the Executive Chef. Duties focus on maintaining food quality, safety, sanitation, and service during high-volume events.

University of Georgia is a large campus in the heart of Northern Georgia where the Bulldogs reign supreme. Football games bring in 65,000 adoring fans all wearing red to support their 2021 National Champions. This is seasonal/part-time work dictated by athletic events.

Join a culinary team in a dynamic sports hospitality environment with opportunities to run interactive chef stations and oversee game day pantries. Assist in organizing menu items according to BEOs and event information. Contribute to elevated culinary experiences for major events.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of food preparation/food service with strong understanding of BEO execution, customer satisfaction, and interactive stations
  • Phenomenal team player
  • Impeccable integrity for the industry, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding Team
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting approx. 30 lbs
  • Renowned time management and organization skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs
  • Ability to work alone

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest level of food quality with your culinary team
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas
  • Maintain the highest level of service, safety, and food quality for each event
  • Run food on game-days and assist in organization of menu items according to BEOs and event information
  • Prepare items according to a recipe
  • Clean and organize kitchen equipment and product
  • Assist the culinary management team in all assigned tasks
  • Interact with guests and lead interactive chef stations as needed
  • Run game day pantries, overseeing food distribution and accuracy
