About this role
Shark Club Vancouver is seeking a passionate, hands-on culinary leader to join the Leadership Team at one of Vancouver's busiest sports bars. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and is dedicated to delivering chef-driven food in a high-volume, energetic environment.
Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will lead day-to-day culinary operations during service, ensuring consistency, freshness, and food safety across all prep and line stations. You will also support labour, food cost, and profit targets while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
As a mentor and coach, you will develop kitchen team members and future leaders, fostering a positive, high-performance culture built on accountability, teamwork, and communication. You will lead by example during high-volume service periods with confidence and composure.
This role offers valuable leadership experience in an industry-leading environment, with ongoing mentorship from experienced senior leaders and opportunities for advancement within a rapidly growing hospitality company. Requirements
- Previous leadership experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant or bar
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality execution
- Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stay organized and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
- Execute menu items to Shark Club standards across both prep and line stations
- Lead day-to-day culinary operations during service while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
- Ensure consistency, freshness, quality control, and food safety at all times
- Support labour, food cost, sales, and profit targets
- Coach, mentor, and develop kitchen team members and future leaders
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling across multiple kitchen positions
- Create a positive, high-performance culture built on accountability, teamwork, and communication
- Lead by example during high-volume service periods with confidence and composure
