About this role

We’re searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Upper Ross Hotel, the beating heart of the local community where pub classics meet plates locals can’t get enough of. The venue serves juicy steaks, schnitzels and regular specials in a relaxed bistro setting near the Ross River.

Command the kitchen like it’s your own, keeping it running smooth, safe and profitable while overseeing daily operations. Manage stock, deliveries and manual handling tasks to maintain a high-performing, efficient service every shift.

Work closely with the Publican and FOH team as a key part of the leadership crew. Keep the connection between kitchen and front of house flowing with good vibes and great food while sharing your passion and creativity.

Requirements

Experience, confidence, and pride to own the kitchen and make it shine
Trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications
Ability to perform physical tasks safely including moving stock, kegs and deliveries
Ready to lead and create food people talk about each day

Responsibilities

Oversee menu execution of pub classics including steaks, schnitzels and daily specials
Manage inventory, stock rotation and supplier deliveries to control costs
Ensure food safety standards and kitchen compliance are maintained at all times
