About this role

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee multiple venues and the food production staff. This role involves creating new recipes while ensuring the quality of all food items served across resort-style senior living communities.

You will build menus, order food and non-food items, and manage schedules that meet budgeted guidelines. Enforcing policies and food safety regulations remains central to daily operations and compliance.

The position coordinates recruitment and retention efforts of the food production staff. Regular production meetings are conducted to drive employee engagement within a culture of Loving-Kindness.

Requirements

  • Degree in Culinary Arts (preferred)
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in a full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club/hotel, or cruise line environment
  • Knowledge of the food industry and trends
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and local food safety regulations
