About this role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead the kitchen team. The role centers on menu creation and kitchen management at the Tuggeranong venue. It delivers exceptional dining experiences during daily operations and special events.

The Executive Chef oversees all kitchen operations while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes managing inventory and controlling food costs effectively. High standards of food quality and presentation remain a constant priority.

Collaboration with front-of-house staff ensures seamless service and guest satisfaction. The position also involves maintaining a positive working culture where staff feel welcome and valued. Leadership extends to hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews for the team.

Strategic planning with management and the team identifies revenue growth opportunities. This approach supports ongoing success in hospitality operations. The focus remains on building an environment that promotes excellence in every aspect of service.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
