About this role

The Food Service Worker role involves preparing and mixing ingredients for cold dishes and beverages. Make toast, prepare short order foods on grill and fried foods. Assemble food for patients and serve employees, visitors, and students.

Daily duties include delivering trays to patients' bedside in a hospital setting. Operate during afternoon shifts from 3:30pm-4:00pm start to 7:30pm-8:00pm end. Follow a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Work with others in a stressful environment at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus. Handle full range of body motion with prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Push carts on carpeting and ride elevators as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent or food prep experience
Food preparation vocational training preferred
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
Ability to read and write simple sentences and carry out verbal instructions
Full range of body motion with prolonged standing
Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
Ability to push carts on carpeting and ride elevators
Lifting up to 50 pounds and work with others in a stressful environment
