About this role

At Château Neercanne, you play a key role as a Pastry Chef in creating a complete gastronomic experience where elegance, craftsmanship, and finesse come together. Our Michelin-starred restaurant is set in a historic 17th-century château near Maastricht.

You will shape desserts and pâtisserie that enhance our culinary signature, working with the seasons, local products, and sustainable ingredients. Day-to-day, you develop and refine new desserts, friandises, and pâtisserie elements, then plate each creation with meticulous attention to taste, texture, and presentation.

You will join a highly driven kitchen team that values craftsmanship and refinement. The historic kitchen offers an inspiring environment where you have creative freedom to express yourself and contribute to the restaurant's culinary development.

Requirements

  • Experience with both classical and modern pâtisserie
  • Strong sense of taste, texture, and presentation
  • Ability to contribute ideas for new pâtisserie creations
  • Positive and collaborative attitude within the team
  • Comfortable in an ambitious Michelin-star environment
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen as a (demi) Chef de Partie and ready for the next step
  • Stress-resistant, well-organized, and adaptable to daily demands

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine new desserts, friandises, and pâtisserie elements
  • Prepare and plate creations with attention to taste, texture, and presentation
  • Work with fresh, local products and follow the seasons in your pâtisserie
  • Ensure quality and consistency within your section
  • Transform seasonal and local ingredients into desserts that complete the menu
  • Contribute to the culinary development of the restaurant with creative ideas
