As a Sous Chef at StoryPoint of Plano, you will assist the Executive Chef in successfully managing all aspects of the culinary and dining department within a senior living community.
You will supervise culinary staff on product quality, portion controls, and scheduling while ensuring every plate meets standards through tasting and presentation.

Requirements
- Fine dining experience required
- Working towards Sous Chef Certification or comparable work experience
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong organization and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Assist Executive Chef in hiring, coaching, and performance management for culinary operations
- Directly supervise all culinary staff regarding product quality, portion, cost controls, scheduling, and staffing
- Manage and train culinary and dining personnel
- Ensure quality of food served through tasting items and plate presentation
- Assist with menu planning, development, and ordering of food supplies
- Prepare and cook meals to order and assist cooks as needed
- Manage the culinary department in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Circulate dining rooms during meal times daily to gather resident feedback and achieve 100% satisfaction
