Join the leadership team as Sous Chef at Shark Club Vancouver, one of the city’s busiest sports bars. Deliver chef-driven food in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while supporting an energetic atmosphere and exceptional hospitality standards.

Execute menu items to company standards across prep and line stations while leading daily culinary operations. Maintain consistency, freshness, quality control, and food safety during every service period.

Work closely with the Executive Chef to coach and mentor kitchen team members. Build a positive, high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and clear communication in a hands-on environment.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant or bar
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality execution
  • Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stay organized and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to jump in wherever needed

Responsibilities

  • Execute menu items to Shark Club standards across both prep and line stations
  • Lead day-to-day culinary operations during service while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen
  • Ensure consistency, freshness, quality control, and food safety at all times
  • Support labour, food cost, sales, and profit targets
  • Coach, mentor, and develop kitchen team members and future leaders
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling across multiple kitchen positions
  • Lead by example during high-volume service periods with confidence and composure
