About this role

Restaurant Medure, an award-winning fine dining restaurant in Ponte Vedra featuring global cuisine with local influence, is seeking a creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. Our kitchen blends classic and modern techniques in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, offering a beautiful contrast of light flavors and bold, hearty dishes.

Our Pastry Chefs work alongside the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chefs to keep the entire kitchen functioning properly, from preparing and executing recipes from scratch to plating desserts during dinner service. You will also handle measuring, mixing, cooking, and baking breads, pastries, and desserts, as well as cheese and charcuterie.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the pastry arts - 2+ years
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely
  • Positive attitude and motivation to create exceptional desserts
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Willingness to learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, measure, mix, cook, bake, and execute recipes from scratch including breads, pastries, and desserts
  • Plate desserts as well as cheese and charcuterie during dinner service
  • Uphold sanitation standards for food preparation, clean working conditions, and maintain organized pastry stations and equipment
  • Order necessary ingredients and maintain inventory sheets
  • Communicate with front of house staff
  • Work with others to provide the highest level of hospitality
