At Park Plaza, authenticity is at the heart of everything we do. As a Kitchen Porter, you will prepare and support the kitchen team to present memorable meals for our guests, applying your energy and enthusiasm to every task. You will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of the kitchen.

Your daily responsibilities include receiving and inspecting all deliveries to ensure quality and quantity meet specifications. You will verify weights, check invoices for accuracy, and reject any problematic products. You will also log details and maintain proper storage procedures.

You will build excellent relationships with both kitchen and front-of-house team members to keep everything running smoothly. Requirements

  • Be fanatical about standards and genuinely care about the quality of the job.
  • Build excellent relationships with kitchen and front-of-house team members.

  • Have previous experience as a Kitchen Porter in a restaurant or hotel.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in inspecting deliveries and maintaining cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support the kitchen team to present memorable meals for guests.
  • Assure delivered products are checked against purchase specifications and purchase orders.
  • Judge the quality, quantity, and sanitary conditions of incoming products.
  • Reject deliveries whenever there is a problem with products, using correct forms.
  • Verify weights of products accurately using a scale and log details.
  • Inspect supplier invoices for accuracy in descriptions, quantities, and prices.
  • Monitor the moving of products to storage, ensuring perishable items are handled first.
