
About this role
Priory Hospital North London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join its team in a part-time 22-hour role. Set within a striking Grade I listed building overlooking beautiful parklands, the hospital is a leading centre for mental health treatment.
You will ensure all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for per Assured Safe Catering standards. Duties include delivering meals to various areas, assisting with basic food preparation, and completing all cleaning in kitchen and servery areas.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team working to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and support patient wellbeing. While not providing direct care, your contribution is vital in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

Requirements
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Understanding of fundamental food hygiene principles.

- Willingness to undergo full basic training provided.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for per Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Deliver meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with basic preparation of food items under direction.
- Complete all cleaning within kitchen, catering, and servery areas in a timely and efficient manner, complying with Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Remove waste and recyclables from kitchen and dining areas.
