
About this role
Join the culinary team at Windsor at Westside, a resort-style community in Kissimmee, where you'll earn $11 per hour plus an 18% gratuity tip pool. This role offers a consistent 5-day work week in a vibrant, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Your day-to-day involves preparing basic components of each dish using proven recipes, memorizing serving portion sizes, and following all basic meal prep procedures. You'll also work on an onsite food truck, crafting fresh, made-to-order pizzas for residents and guests.
You'll collaborate with a team of cooks to handle portion prep for other shifts, monitor product freshness, and rotate out old product based on a schedule. The kitchen is temperature-controlled with moderate noise levels, and you'll help ensure all food prep and storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.

Requirements
- 1 year in restaurant or comparable field (preferred)
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures
- High level of creativity, professionalism, and reliability
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
- Fluent in English as a primary language
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods
Responsibilities
- Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes
- Memorize and utilize serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen
- Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
- Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
- Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant
- Design new menu choices based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand
- Track, record, and replenish inventory as needed
- Work in an onsite food truck making fresh, made-to-order pizzas
