About this role

This role is responsible for properly cooking all foods in accordance with established guidelines and procedures at the Pearl River Resort waterpark food court. As a Line Cook, you will be the frontline in delivering quality meals to guests in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

Day-to-day operations include performing opening and closing tasks, operating kitchen and catering equipment, and monitoring safety and health regulations. You will also welcome customers in a friendly manner and communicate important information to the following shift to ensure seamless service.

This position operates within a waterpark setting, requiring the ability to work in extreme heat and weather environments. Associates are expected to contribute to a safe work environment by identifying potential hazards and adhering to all company and departmental policies.

This temporary day role offers the opportunity to build experience in high-volume food service while working for a well-established resort property. Consistent attendance and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • 16 years of age or above.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous cooking experience preferred.
  • Previous money handling experience preferred.
  • Must be serve-safe certified or able to acquire certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Physical ability to lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to the park in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Perform the day-to-day operations of the Food Court as assigned.
  • Operate kitchen and catering equipment safely and effectively.
  • Complete all daily opening and closing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and uphold all safety and health regulations.
  • Communicate important, relevant information to the following shift.
  • Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental policies, practices, and procedures.
