About this role
The Line Cook supports the Sous Chef by leading, training, and inspiring the kitchen crew while keeping operations running smoothly at Madame Tussauds Hollywood. This role centers on delivering consistent food quality through recipes, SOPs, and presentation standards in a high-volume themed environment.
Day-to-day work includes boosting kitchen efficiency from workflow to prep so every station performs reliably. The position also requires maintaining strict cleanliness, sanitation, and Merlin Food Safety guidelines throughout all kitchen areas.
Team collaboration involves attending meetings, tackling projects assigned by the Sous Chef, minimizing waste, and helping create a positive workplace. The Line Cook protects equipment and inventory by performing daily storage checks, monitoring rotation, and reporting issues promptly.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred with 3–4 years of kitchen experience
- Solid culinary knowledge and food design skills to maintain creative and consistent dishes
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written form
- Sharp organization and problem-solving abilities with confidence to make quick decisions
- Team player who helps grow and support others in a collaborative kitchen environment
- Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to pass Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness exams within 30 days of employment
Responsibilities
- Support the Sous Chef by leading, training, and inspiring the kitchen crew while keeping operations running smoothly
- Boost kitchen efficiency from workflow to prep to ensure every station runs reliably
- Deliver top-tier food quality by following recipes, SOPs, and presentation standards
- Maintain strict cleanliness, sanitation, and Merlin Food Safety guidelines throughout the kitchen
- Use equipment properly, check storage daily, monitor food rotation, and report issues promptly
- Champion safety and compliance with OSHA, HACCP, Environmental Health, and company policies
- Attend meetings, tackle Sous Chef projects, minimize waste, and contribute to a positive workplace
